In the dream within the dream, the couple walked the bay trail gazing at the strange night sky. The moon hummed the melodies in their heads and the notes played like sad messages from shooting stars. It all started mid-summer, the beginning of the dream within the dream, with nightly walks near the Marina, the songs of the ocean in the air under a half-painted sky. Now the summer is almost over and the songs seem to be complete. Unlike the sky, a painted fragment with a faint moon in the foreground. When autumn arrives, even if obscured by peculiarly-shaped clouds, it will become vivid. Then within moments, everything will disappear. All the stars will be gone, there will be no trace of the trail and the moon, and what’s left will be the music dreamt in a dream in ¾ measures.
