Riding high from the release of their demo EP on April Fool’s 2023, cheeky things are a painfully new-school indie band treading new and old sonic boundaries: with antics between the American school of shoegaze and twee(mo), the blaring modernity of indie bands like feeble little horse and julie, and good old Filipino indiepop. “r u tired” is another bite-sized portion of this mania of influences, balancing the guitar olympics of Swirlies and a certain Bedhead-meets-Bedchamber dynamism.
