Mister Disco is a shoegaze collaboration project from former post punk / new wave musicians from Cebu. Today’s technology made it possible for them to record from the comfort of their bedrooms, living rooms, closets, and basements. Song ideas are initiated on their group chat and drummer Marx records his tracks in his New Jersey home office. Miah then jams with the beats immersing into cavernous reverb and clamoring fuzz. When the song is arranged, the file makes its way to Maryland for Gemo’s melodic bass and additional guitar riffs. Concurrently, the same file also makes its way to Louisiana to capture Xiomara’s angelic pipes. All files go back to the band’s Dropbox for the final mix. Both Marx and Miah work with the mixing and mastering of all of the band’s tracks. Find them on Bandcamp: misterdisco.bandcamp.com
