Shoegaze Pilipinas is back with ALIMPUYO.

It's been almost three years since our last compilation. Between then and now, we have seen and experienced the shoegaze scene in the Philippines continue to flourish. Last June, Furiosa and JLE Music hosted the Shoegaze and Dream Pop stage of Fete de la Musique and hordes of fans flocked to Saguijo to experience "the scene that celebrates itself."

ALIMPUYO, translated as "whirlwind", is a collection of old and new tracks and is indeed similar to an ipo-ipo: it's a swirling assemblage of celestial vocals, hurricane guitars, and beautiful noise.
